Emmanuel Steadfast Adjetey Ashiao, Uncle Emma

In memory

Emmanuel Steadfast Adjetey Ashiao

Uncle Emma

16 June 1951 — 3 September 2026

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7

Loved, remembered, and carried forward.

Emmanuel Adjetey Ashiao was born in June 1951, the third child of Emmanuel Ashiao Quaye and Patience Djateng, and grew up with five sisters: Mary, Rebecca, Gladys, Akweley, and Victoria. He made his life with Ernestina Chochoo, and together they raised five children: Lydia, Gloria, Ehud, Patience, and Esther. He was also a grandfather of seven. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Rebecca and Victoria, and his daughter Lydia. He died in September 2026, at seventy-five, and will be laid to rest in October. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, students, and all who loved him. We remember Uncle Emma with gratitude — for his smile, his ministry, and the life of faith he lived.
